If you are experiencing low mood
Low mood can be caused by a number of things including relationship problems, bereavement, sleep problems or stress at work but it is also possible to feel down and low for no particular reason. General low mood can include:
- Sadness
- Feeling anxious or panicky
- Worry
- Tiredness
- Low self esteem
- Frustration
- Anger
If you are experiencing anxiety
Anxiety is a feeling of worry or fear. It is normal to feel anxious at certain points in your life but can become an ongoing problem.
Anxiety can become an ongoing problem when you:
- Feel worried a lot of the time
- Have difficulty sleeping
- Can’t concentrate
- Feel irritable, on edge and not able to relax
- Feel tearful
- Need reassurance from other people
If you are experiencing stress
Stress comes from feeling under too much pressure, this can either be in your home life, such as relationship stress or money problems, or work related stress. Stress can affect how you feel, think and behave and can affect your sleep.
If you are experiencing ‘baby blues’
Many women can feel a bit down in the first week after giving birth. This feeling is very normal and usually lasts for less than two weeks after giving birth. If symptoms persist past the initial two weeks, get in touch.
